Broadcom AEDR-9830 Three-Channel Reflective Incremental Encoders

The Broadcom AEDR-9830 is a versatile three-channel reflective optical encoder designed for motion control applications. It offers configurable analog or digital outputs, utilizing reflective technology. The device can be set to provide two differential analog channels with a third differential digital or analog index output, or three differential digital outputs (A, B, and I). In analog mode, it interfaces directly with external interpolators. In digital mode, it provides TTL-compatible quadrature outputs (A, B) for direction sensing and a digital index output. Its compact 4.00 mm x 4.00 mm x 1.05 mm package makes it suitable for miniature applications where space is a constraint. The AEDR-9830 operates across a wide temperature range of -40C to 115C, making it ideal for commercial, industrial, and automotive use.
